CREAMY PINEAPPLE GINGER GREENS SMOOTHIE

Today’s smoothie recipe is one of the most refreshing blends you’ll ever taste! Seriously, it’s that delicious. A greens smoothie packed with creamy tropical goodness is a go-to kind of blend for me, and I like to amp things up even more by adding a kick of ginger for some extra digestive benefits.

I think what keeps me coming back to this blend is that it’s tasteful, filling, easy on digestion, and nutrient packed to keep my energy levels in check while I kick off my day. I would definitely consider this smoothie to be more of a breakfast (or even lunch) option— the nutrient dense profile it contains makes it a meal in a glass!

This blend comes packed with healthy fats, filling fiber, and plant protein to keep your body fuelled for hours until your next meal. Avocado, tahini, pineapple, and vanilla plant based protein powder are ingredients in today’s recipe that help energize the body, balance blood sugar, and add to the creamy tropical texture and taste of this smoothie. Dark leafy greens, ginger, lemon, and flaxseed are other ingredients in this smoothie recipe that help fight inflammation, boost the immune system, fight free radicals that cause cell damage, and ease bloat and digestion.


CREAMY PINEAPPLE GINGER GREENS SMOOTHIE

A creamy tropical smoothie packed with plant powered ingredients that deliver a good source of healthy fats, filling fiber, and protein to fuel you with energy for hours. This nourishing blend is easy on digestion, dairy free, vegan friendly, and nutrient-rich.

Serves: 1 | Time: 5 minutes | Difficulty: Easy

Ingredients:

  • 1 + 1/2 cups unsweetened almond milk
  • 1/4 an avocado
  • 2 handfuls of dark leafy greens
  • 1 thumb fresh ginger, peeled/chopped
  • 1 cup organic frozen pineapple
  • fresh juice from 1/2 of a lemon
  • 1 tbsp ground flaxseed
  • 1 tbsp tahini
  • 1 scoop vanilla plant based protein powder, I used Garden of Life Raw Organic vanilla protein powder

Instructions:

  1. Add ingredients to a high-speed blender and blend until smooth. Pour into your favourite smoothie glass and enjoy!
